Time Flys!

Well its getting closer! There are only 20 days left until the wedding! We are all getting so excited!

The kids are here for their first 2 week visit, I cant believe how big they are! Elese is about 1/2 an inch bigger then me (which is not hard, but still) Ethan is getting bigger as well. Finally! He has been so skinny and little! Now he is starting to fill out a little more and getting so tall! They are so excited about the wedding! Every day they tell me how many days we have left (I also have a count down app on my phone)!

The only thing we have to do for the wedding is the little things, like getting goodies for the baskets and some other little finishing touches! We have gotten everything else taken care of! I have a wonderful troop of Friends who are helping me get everything organized. When I first started planning the wedding I thought well planning a small out of town wedding will be easy as pie, well I was wrong! Planning this wedding is much more involved then I thought! But it has all come together just like we had imagined it!

This weekend was a busy one! Had so much fun at Heather's party Saturday night! Then today it was off to Rachelle's for the Stamp a Stack! We made 3 cute cards, a note card, and a progressive scrapbook page. I love all of them!

The wedding plans are coming together nicely, I have most of the invitations done, just need to add a few finishing touches and a few photos and they will be complete and ready to mail. Heather so graciously lent me some of her beach wedding items which I looked through today and I will be able to use them all! I feel not as stressed out, now that I know things are finally coming together! My dress has been altered and looks great!

Time is flying by so fast, before I know it, our wedding day will be here!

I have started another blog, I had mentioned before that I was going to make this one filled with easy dinners and crafts for the family, but decided to just make a whole new blog! you will have to check it out! The link is on my facebook page if you don't already have it. I am going to try and add a craft and a menu item every week. I had gotten behind with it but now I think I will be able to keep up with it!

Looking at the calendar the next 10 weeks are going to be jam packed! But with my two trusty wedding fuffers, I will have no problem getting everything done!

There will be more to come once I have some more time to sit and type!!!

Taking Care of Business!

After a very productive 3-day team meeting, we have completed a ton of goals! We got all of our business letters written, printed and mailed out! I also finished up my personal letter emailed it and mailed it to friends and family!

I have also cut and embellished all of my wedding invitations, so now all that's left is to type up the wording, get them addressed and get them mailed out by May 16th!

I feel very accomplished of everything I/we have gotten done in the last week! Now its time to get the kids' room ready for them to be here April 16th! Then we have a whole lot of things to get finished up while they are here!

As for now, I am happy with everything I have checked off my to do list! Now its time to plan and raise some money for my walk!

Ocean Shores Day Trip

Saturday myself, Becky, Nikki and Tricia headed to Ocean Shores to get some things finalized for the wedding. We had a wonderful breakfast at the Hi lo cafe in Bremerton, then we were off! We made a quick stop at the Walmart in Aberdeen, and found these vases that are tapered and about 2 feet tall. They will be perfect for table scape's (and the best part is they were only $4)!

Next stop was the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino to meet with Courtney (aka Cookie) about the wedding cake/cupcakes. She had a plateful of different cakes and cupcakes for us to try! There were Red Velvet cake-sicles, Chocolate cupcake with a peanut butter moose frosting, cheese cake, German Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cake, and Carrot Cake! So I needed to pick 3 cupcake choices and our cake choice so we can freeze it for a year and then eat it. My choices ended up being Cheesecake Cupcakes, Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter moose frosting, and Red Velvet cupcakes with a Cream cheese frosting, and our cake that we are saving will be carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Next up was meeting with Leah to check out the different places we can have the ceremony. We were told about a lawn that overlooked the ocean, but when we got there..... there was no lawn! But we picked the patio that overlooks the ocean and if it rains (keeping my fingers crossed that it stays beautiful that day) we will have the option to have the ceremony inside. We also got to see the reception room which will be held in the ballroom, and I also finalized my dinner menu.

After tasting all those delicious cakes and treats, we were starving so we when to the Homeport, where we had some lunch and a drink. Our waitress was, how shall I put this.... High on something other then life! Which made for an interesting lunch! I wanted to make my reservations at Alec's but they would not take my reservation for 26 people stating that it would be difficult for them to get us in, and if they did take my reservation we would not be able to eat until 8 or 8:30pm! So, we headed back out and in search of a restaurant that would take my reservations and we would not have to way so late to eat, well were we in luck! We headed over to the Shilo in and we meet Peggy, who was more then willing to help me! She took my reservation and said that she wold personally be taking care of our table that night! So with that we are set!

I accomplished so much this weekend it was amazing! I could not have done it with out the help of my "wedding fuffers" Nikki, Becky and Tricia! I appreciate everything you guys have done for me! My wedding will be just they way I want it because of you girls!

Adventures With Becky

Today was the first day of WAPES, which is a class for Opthalmologic Technicians and doctors. Today we had coding which is where we learn how to code for different things we do in the office and we make sure we are dotting our i's and crossing our t's. After coding a group of us went to lunch at PF Chang's (which was fabulous)!

I decided to stay the night at my cousins Becky's since she lives about 10 minutes away and I could get about an hour and a half of extra sleep. So Becky met me at the parking garage where I had car pooled with some co-workers, and we headed off to her house. Now since Becky lives in the city, buses are the main transportation. Me not being a big city girl, I had never rode a "Seattle" bus before. This was an experience..... First when we got on the bus we sat in the "accordion" part, well neither of us were too keen on sitting sideways, so we moved to a seat right behind the accordion. I was not to thrilled when the bus turned and I was still going straight. Plus being able to wave to the passengers sitting in the front of the bus was not a fun feeling either!

So after we had reached our destination it was still a nice walk to Becky's house. We stopped at a local organic food store and Becky got a sandwich to eat, and I had spotted a Cold Stone Creamery, so after Becky finished her sandwich we headed for some ice cream (hey, don't judge, I had a rough day of class and a bus trip). After we finished our "love-it" ice cream we headed home. Where we relaxed for a bit and discussed what we were going to do for dinner. Well it being St. Patrick's day and all we are having a very Irish dinner of Chicken and Shrimp fajitas and Spanish Rice (we have decided to go Mexican), and we cant forget a delicious beverage to wash it all down Tecate Beer. But don't fret we will be eating off St. Patrick's day paper plates. All in all it was a great adventure and a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!!!
