Marking Off the "To Do" List!

After a few nights of dragging my feet, I have finished all of my "welcome" cards for the wedding. They are all handmade with love! Next step it to start getting my "welcome baskets" together. Next weekend I am making a day trip down to Ocean Shores so I can get a visual on where the wedding will take place and meet with the coordinator. I also get to sample my wedding cupcakes which is bonus!

Things are finally coming along with the planning. The main issue I need to deal with now is finding a seamstress to alter my wedding dress. So if you know anyone please let me know! I have asked about 7 people now and they all have told me the same thing "I can do it, but I don't want to take the risk of messing it up". Elese will be getting her dress made by my Aunt Barbara, so when the kiddos are here on Spring Break we will be heading to the fabric store to pick out a pattern and some fabric.

I have also made some headway with fundraising ideas for work. Last year I did "Pink Friday's" where we all paid $5 and wore pink every Friday. It was very successful, but when I tried it this year... not so much. A co-worker of mine came up with $5 lunches, and on staff meeting days $3 breakfasts. So once a month I will be making a lunch for my co-workers and they can donate and eat, and on staff meeting days, I will bring in some sort of breakfast and again they can donate. I know all my co-workers are excited about me walking again, and I am very excited to be walking again with Becky. We have become so close over the last 2 years, and I love it! She is the best cousin anyone could ever ask for!

Behind.....

This past weekend was a busy one! Scott and I played in a Tavathon (darts, pool & softball) it was a blast! Our team took 3rd wich is great! We had some killer save the day games!

Time has flown and I am so behind on wedding stuff! We have 131 days until the wedding day, and there is still so much to do! I thought that planning a small wedding would be easy, but its so much harder then planning a big one. I have planned a trip down to Ocean Shores next week, so I am hoping to get a lot done, and a lot of questions answered.

We are preparing for Elese and Ethan to come up for their Spring Break in April, we are preparing for their visit. We also have a lot of things to do when they are here as well! Including getting a pattern and material for Elese's dress and also getting Ethan fitted for his suit.

Preparing for the Susan G. Komen is not going as planned. I am behind on writing letter and fundraising. So this weekend there will be lots of letter writing and brainstorming for fundraiser ideas. I received a "encouragement kit" from my teammate and cousin Becky, which brought a lot of spirit and hope to getting going on the fundraising.
